Wildfire Coping and Wellness
The recent fires and resulting losses can trigger emotional stress for all of us. This is especially true if you have experienced previous disasters or adversity. Feelings of sadness, anxiety, irritability, overwhelm and even new physical issues are likely to be experienced. The good news is that many people have experience coping with stressful life events, and we are naturally resilient-especially our tribal community. Sometimes we just need a little more support.
Karuk Human Services is here to offer additional support and connection to our community members, especially those affected by wildfires and COVID-related stress. We can help you identify ways to cope, care for yourself, and access and provide community care during this challenging time.
