NICWA Circles of Care IV YOUTH VIDEO (Click here to view MySpace video)

August 12, 2009 Indigenous youth participants created this video at the National Indian Child Welfare Association's Circles of Care Grantee meeting in Denver, CO. The youth participated in a workshop lead by Native artists Bunky Echo-Hawk and David Bernie. They learned photography, filmmaking, participated in group discussions, and created an interactive LIVE art painting. The youth decided that with a strong spiritual commitment, we can start to overcome the effects of genocide in our Indigenous communities. The song used in the video is by one of the Karuk Youth Leadership Council Members: "The Young and the Old" by Kevin "Braveheart" Harrison Check it OUT!!!!
